Each teacher's teaching hours are varied from each other's. Some teachers have more than 30 hours weekly but some may have fewer. 25~ 34 hours weekly is the average for the 3 foreign teachers and 120~150 monthly teaching hours is normal. It all depends on the teacher's performance on the job and his/her physical condition. As long as the teacher is strong enough and willing to work hard, the school prefers offering as many hours as possible to the teacher. Suppose a teacher can handle a minimum 25 hours weekly, the monthly salary is about NT$67000 with 120 teaching hours.

1. Working Hours

1. The teaching hours are varied among teachers. Working hours are the teaching time (with 30 minutes before the class starts included). The teacher, upon accepting a monthly schedule, is obliged to complete it.

2. The punch-in time is 30 minutes before the first class to collect the teaching materials, and make copies of the worksheets…

Salary Information

1.Most of the training sessions are held in the morning (till afternoon sometimes). On each training day, new teacher will get subsidy NT$ 1,000. After finishing training, teacher will come back to observe classes to get ready for taking over the classes.

2. After fully taking over the classes from the old teacher, the teacher is paid for teaching hours. The starting pay rate is normally NT$560/hour plus NT$2000 for perfect attendance (if you don’t miss any classes) and you are paid in cash on the tenth of each month.
